Email or call County Manager, Mike Callagy, sharing your "disappointment that the county delayed the San Mateo Animal Control & Shelter Services RFP for yet another year, taking it into a 69th year with no competition despite a complacent provider that is operating on an outdated animal warehousing model": mcallagy@smcgov.org; 650-363-4129
-
Email or call your representative County Supervisor expressing your disappointment that s/he towed the party line by voting in favor of a 69th year with no competition for the Animal Control & Shelter Services Contract - sample email and contact info can be found here
-
Write to PHS and/or the County inquiring why there are so few dog volunteers at the Coyote Point shelter, encouraging them to commit to a basic standard of care by getting every dog out of the kennel every day.
